If you run out of internet on your phone, there’s a little tip that can help you on getting around without fear of getting lost. Once you are in a place with internet connection, look up the directions on your phone to your destination, set it to walking and leave the blue line up on the map without pushing start. When you leave, you will see the little blue dot still moving when you move, regardless you are connected to wifi or not. So based on the blue line that is still up on the map, you can navigate yourself to your location. With a little bit of guess and check you can make sure you are heading in the right direction and find your destination. And at the same time, the map will still show you all the surrounding street names too! It has saved me a ton of time while being in Barcelona.

How to Arrive by Taxi

If you decide to take a taxi to Shoko, give the taxi driver the address Passeig Maritim de la Barceloneta, 36 or simply say Shoko and he will know for sure where to drop you off.

How to Arrive by Metro

Take the L4 (yellow line) to Ciutadella Villa Olimpica. From here, walk straight down Carrer de Ramon Trias Fargas in the direction of the beach. Once you reach the end of the street, you will basically run right into the entrance if you continue to walk straight onto the sidewalk. There will be a huge sign that you can’t miss.

How to Arrive by Night Bus

From Placa Catalunya, after midnight, you can take either N8 or N6 to Shoko Barcelona. N8 drops you off near Opium, so Shoko is located right next to it! N6 drops you on Av. del Litoral, take a left onto Carrer Trelawny and right onto Passeig Maritim until building 36. N8 is more direct and quicker.

How to Take Night Bus Back Home

N8 or N6 will take you to Plaza Catalunya. N8 stops farther right down the road if you are looking at the beach. N6 stops on Carrer de Salvador Espriu. N6 is located about 5 minutes from Opium, walk away from the beach down Carrer de Ramon Trias Fargas and take the second right. From Placa Catalunya you need to switch over to the corresponding night bus that is going toward wherever you are staying. For example, N4 takes you Lesseps metro stop in Gracia.
